Equipment Needed For P90X?
Ready to buy P90X, but not sure what equipment you will need in order to get results? The great thing about the P90X program is that you can do it with pretty minimal equipment. You certainly don’t need big expensive machines that are often found at your local gym. Much of the equipment needed for P90X can be found online, at your local Wal-Mart or even on Craigslist. I’ll go through exactly what must have and also detail a few things that would be nice to have. I have also provided links where applicable.
Equipment Needed for P90X – Must Haves
Below I have detailed the absolute must haves when it comes to equipment needed for P90X. Aside from the obvious things like, a good pair of shoes, some workout clothes (shorts, shirt or tank top), towel (because you WILL BE SWEATING!!!) and a water bottle, these are the item you will need. A really you need them before you even get started since Day 1 of P90X is Chest and Back, which uses all of the equipment listed below.
Equipment Needed for P90X – Optional
Ready to stack up you birthday/christmas/father’s day wish list. Here are some of the things that I added to my home gym as I found the need and the resources…aka money…to acquire them. I would suggest that you not get too caught up in having these right away, they won’t affect your ability to BRING IT everyday and get great results with P90X. These are listed in no particular order, so don’t assume the first item listed is most important. The equipment listed below is really dependent on your individual needs, so keep that in mind with decided witch option equipment needed for P90X.
What about supplements?
While this article does detail the equipment needed for P90X, I thought I would spend a few moments on supplements. For the most part, supplements are not going to have a huge impact on your results if you are eating a whole food diet as is suggested in the nutrition guide. However, as life is what it is, many people need supplements in order to ensure that they are getting the proper amounts of proteins, carbohydrates and fats everyday. That being said, you shouldn’t rely solely on supplements to get the nutrients that you body needs when you are putting it through a program such as P90X. Once you have the equipment needed for P90X, then you can start to look at supplements if they are in your budget.
Summary
If you are just getting started, don’t get too caught up in getting all of the extra stuff that you certainly don’t need on day 1. Just concentrate on the essentials that I detailed above. Focus on those couple of things and showing up and giving it everything you’ve got and you results will be there waiting for you on day 90. As you can see the equipment needed for P90X isn’t all that complex and can be found at pretty reasonable prices with a little hunting on the web.
