Earlier this week, I gave you a list of 5 fitness gifts ideas for women. Now it’s time to do the same for the fellas!
There is still time to find a great gift for the fitness-minded guy in your life. Regardless if they are just starting out or a fitness “buff”, here are some of my suggestions that I feel that any guy could use this holiday season. Check out the list below and leave a comment with the gift you plan to give this year, I’d love to hear about it and perhaps I would need to add it to my list!
Fitness Trackers
I have said this in the past, fitness are very popular right now. They are a great piece of technology that can really provide some additional incentive to stay active. Especially for those who are just getting started. I have been a big fan of the Fitbit line of products, since they were first available, but they are no longer the only player in this space. You can find numerous fitness trackers that will help you train or stay active for your fitness preferences; running, biking, weight lifting, etc…
If you are just getting started with a fitness, start simple – it is like that you won’t need all of the fancy options that some include – if necessary, it will allow you to upgrade at a later time to something that is more in line with your goals/needs.
Water Bottle / Shaker Cup
Hydration during your workout is critical! You should be drinking anywhere between 16-32 oz of water for every on hour of activity. This may seem like a lot initially, if you aren’t used to drinking that much, but you’ll adapt as you increase your intake.
You’ll want a good water bottle or shaker cup to accommodate. A water bottle is great for before, during and after your workout throughout the day. Whereas a shaker cup is a great option for the pre/post workout shake that you might typically have. I’m a big fan of the Blender Bottle Sport Mixer, seen below. It has NEVER leaked and is large enough to accommodate my pre-workout and my post workout shake.
With either option, you will want to make sure it is going to be BPA free and seals to avoid spills/leaks.
At Home Fitness Program
Of course, an at home fitness program is a great way to complement everything listed above. For busy dads like myself, going to a gym can be tough to work into the hectic schedule! With an at home fitness program, you can get it done all at home! The daily workouts, the nutrition it’s all provided. The equipment is basic, nothing complicated or big and bulky is necessary.

Bluetooth Speakers or Headphones
I love to listen to music as I am warming up and throughout my workouts. If you have a phone that has bluetooth capabilities, a bluetooth speaker or headphones can be used while you workout without any of the annoying or nagging wires of traditional headphones.
Workout Wear
Proper workout attire is always recommended, having the right workout wear on can affect your workout. For shirts and tanks, I personally like more form fitting/athletic cut wear – think Under Armour or Nike Pro Combat gear. However, every guy is a little bit different here, so keep that in mind. You can’t go wrong with a solid pair of shorts that allow free range of motion while working out. Comfort is the key here!
Need a Coach?
If you need to find someone that will hold you accountable, answer your questions, help you, and PUSH YOU for the entire duration of your workout! Luckily for you, that’s what me and my team are here for. If you don’t have a coach yet and want one, I’d love to be your coach and help you through a fitness program. I am available to help you reach your goals!
