‘I Am Chris Farley’ Trailer – First Look
While I don’t really watch much TV these days, I used to watch a lot growing up and throughout college… One of the shows that I really enjoyed was Saturday Night Live! It’s cast at that time, the early to late 90’s, was quite possibly the best there has ever been. Many of the actors and actresses that were on that show during that decade went on to very successful movie and comedy careers. Chris Farley was certainly one of my favorite actors during that period as well and I think that everyone agrees that he just had something special about him that always had you thinking: “What’s Chris going to do next?”
Chris Farley died of a drug overdose in late 1997 and his death was definitely unexpected. Almost 20 years after his death, a documentary of his life is being released and it is expected to celebrate his life and the genius of his style of comedy.
According to BuzzFeed, the documentary will include home videos from Farley’s childhood and early performances as well as clips from SNL and interviews with celebrities and family members that knew and loved him. Check out the trailer of ‘I Am Chris Farley’ below and I am sure you’ll recall some of these performances.[youtube link=”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPSu9C4G_CQ” width=”590" height=”315"]
I like music! I’ve kind of grown up listening to whatever is current, so I’d say my tastes have changed over time. I enjoy the fact that now my kids like music too! It is a connection that we can both share and just enjoy with each other.
I also like Apple and the products they make available to us all. I own an iPod, an iPhone, an iPad and a MacBook Pro – I’m a fanboy – don’t judge! For many years Apple been on the leading edge of making music available to the masses – even when it was popular to illegally download music (guilty…). They now have an online streaming music service that compliments their products and the entire Apple ecosystem.
I’ve used several of the major online streaming services and still toggle between Pandora and Spotify. You can check out My Workout Playlist for an idea of the kind of music I enjoy while working out. Much like Spotify, Apple Music allows to you combine your the music you own with the latest music as well as genre or artist specific song playlists. The service also suggests songs or artists or even other popular playlists based on the music you listen to frequently.
At $9.99/month, the service is a bit more pricey when compared to the other online streaming music services, but If you are an avid streaming listener you’ll likely find that the cost is worth it. You can take the service for a 90 day test drive for FREE, so it is certainly something you can try out first and decide if you would like to keep it.
Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle PLUS
I recently acquired a new bluetooth speaker as birthday gift! My son, Grant, had one that he got as a Christmas gift that I had been using from time to time, but he kept taking it…like it was his or something? As I mentioned above, I like to listen to music while working out and using the speakers on my laptop is “OK”, but not the greatest for the size of the room I work out in. These little bluetooth speakers are perfect for this type of use. They are portable/wireless, so you can move them around to wherever you like as long as you are within the range of the bluetooth connection (typically 20-30 feet).
The Cambridge SoundWorks model actually wasn’t the first speaker I purchased. I got one previously based on A LOT of good Amazon.com reviews, but when it arrives and I tried it out, it just felt cheap and the sound wasn’t that great… The search was back on!
I generally look for brand names that I recognize with electronics, though I strayed away from that with my first purchase and I wasn’t going to make that same mistake again. While Cambridge SoundWorks may not be a name you recognize, I actually do – mainly from the earlier release of PCs – they were a large provider of speakers that typically were included with many desktop PCs back in the late 90’s/early 2000’s – I know…I dating myself here.
This particular speaker, while it didn’t have as many reviews, all of the reviews it did have were 4 stars or above (another selection criteria I use and highly recommend), so I gave it a shot. It has been an awesome addition to my workout space and it was really easy both setup and use. Once paired per the instructions, it automatically connects to my laptop and provides some great sound allowing my to keep motivated throughout my workouts!
