Summer vacation is officially over here; the kiddos are back in school (they are starting the 3rd week already!) and a more regular schedule has settled in. Looking back, I think we had a pretty damn good summer! Tough Mudder down in Nashville and the Beachbody Classic in Vegas in June, a week in sunny Florida with the entire family, kick off of the “Year of the Beast” group, and a few lazy weekends in between.
How did your summer go?
This week, our “Year of the Beast” group will be starting it’s 5 week of the program, so that means that 30-day progress photos and measurements will take place. I can tell you now that I am right where I want to be with this first round of Body Beast. I’ve added a few pounds of muscle, while minimizing the amount of body fat! The other members of the group are just killing it! A few highlights so far – more and more impressive results each day.
These are just a few examples of what’s going on in this high-energy group. Something to also keep in mind is that everyone is just doing Body Beast, which is almost all strength training! I’m really looking forward to seeing the results of everyone as we finish up the BULK phase and move into the BEAST phase in another 4 weeks.
5 Tips/Suggestions to Improve Your Life – Today!
1. Don’t Sell Yourself Short
Take the time to hype up your accomplishments rather than dwelling on your failures. In order to be successful you must believe that you are worth it, so inflate your ego every now and then.
2. Set Up a Safety Net
Create backup plans for when things don’t work out the way you anticipated. By creating a safety net you eliminate the need to come up with excuses when the universe throws you a curve ball.
3. Be Honest With Yourself
You may think you truly want to accomplish your goals, but you constantly let things derail your progress. This is when you need to figure out what you really want. It is possible to have another goal that is outranking and contradicting your new commitment. Let’s say you want to quit smoking, but subconsciously you feel like smoking is an inherent part of your personality.
4. What Motivates You?
Understanding what motivates you is vital for your success. Whether it’s a monetary reward, personal integrity, or competition. Every person is different, find out what motivates you.
5. New Habits are Permanent
Once you do something enough times to consider it a habit it becomes automatic and stays with you for life.
