I hope that everyone had a safe and happy Independence Day! Living in a state that allows fireworks to be set off by just about anyone over the age of 18, we didn’t have to leave our back patio for a pretty decent show.
I am just about through the first phase of the Body Beast BUILD phase. I have actually skipped a couple of the scheduled rest days to ensure that I completed this phase of the program in time to get started with the BULK phase at the same time I start the T25 program.
I have to admit that my nutrition to this point hasn’t been as spot on as it was throughout the P90X2/Asylum 2 hybrid that I finished up in June. This has been mainly due to poor planning on my part. I typically will try to plan out my meals, lunch specifically, ahead of time, but haven’t done the best job with that. The July 4th holiday, a shorter workweek, etc… have also thrown my general schedule off a bit too.
That changes this week! Time to really buckle things and dial in my nutrition.
Could This Be What Is Holding You Back?
Last month at the Team Beachbody Coach Summit, I had the fortunate opportunity to hear John C. Maxwell speak and his message was just awesome! He primarily focused on leadership and what it takes to be a great leader. Since hearing him, I have picked up a few of his books and they have been a great addition to my personal development library.
One of the things that John touched on during his talk was in reference to surrounding yourself with people that have achieved goals that you aspire to. In general that concept boils down to something like the following: If you are surrounding yourself with individuals that aren’t pushing you towards your goals or something bigger than you already are, you are hanging around the WRONG PEOPLE!
So, how does this relate to health and fitness?
Two words: Challenge Groups
I have been a part of numerous challenge groups. Some of them I was active participant and others merely there to support and answer questions. But one of things that always happened within these groups is that leaders would emerge and pull the others in the group to their level and in some cases to the surprise of those being pulled.
The group environment will almost always have people with varying levels of fitness. Some will be veterans; some will be complete newbies and also some will be in between the two. As you might expect, the veteran group of people will generally be those that lead in the early going. However, in almost all of the groups that I have been part of 2-3 people in the other two groups will also emerge from the shadows and begin to push, support, encourage and motivate others in the group to push themselves past their perceived limits.
It unfortunate that not of you, my team members, have not had the chance to participate in a Challenge Group. Beachbody recently put out some statistics that overwhelming found that people that participated in Challenge Groups had greater success with the fitness programs when compared to those that did not.
Could this be what is holding you back? Not being part of a group that will support and motivate you along your journey? Anyone can be part of a challenge group! There are no requirements! I would love to add each and every one of my team members to a group and watch you succeed like many others have in both groups that I manage and groups that I do not.

Roasted Root Medley
A few weeks ago, I mentioned that planned to start adding some healthy recipes to my site and so far I have added one every week. Here is the latest recipe, which originates from the Ultimate Reset program. It is pretty simple and the ingredients that are necessary are easily found at your local grocer.
You should definitely give this recipe a try, even if you think you won’t like the combination of vegetables that are included. A great mix of sweet and crisp veggies make this one a favorite of both my wife and I.

I’m looking for a few select leaders this month to help us change the world. If you want to do something truly fulfilling while you’re working on your own health & fitness AND earning a nice side income, go here now…
Are you passionate about fitness? Love sharing your knowledge with others?
I am looking for dependable and motivated individuals to join my Beachbody coaching team. Beachbody is a company that creates in-home fitness programs such as P90X, P90X2, Insanity, TurboJam, Hip Hop Abs, TurboFire and more.
Being a coach allows you to work with Beachbody customers, keeping them motivated, answer questions, and offer suggestions for new products and nutritional supplements that will help them achieve their fitness and health goals.
Being a coach is a great way to supplement your income while doing something you love.
Email or click below for more information about becoming a coach.
Let’s help others and pay it forward!
How many of you have/know someone that you think would benefit from being a part of this group? We all probably know SOMEONE that may be struggling with health and fitness.
Who do you know that has high cholesterol, blood pressure issues or blood sugar problems? Do you know someone that needs to lose weight, tone up or gain weight?
If you think you know someone, even if it is just one person, let me know and let’s get them plugged in. A little friendly competition is always beneficial to those involved.
Got a question?
I also wanted to make sure that everyone on my team is aware that I am here for YOU! If you have ANY questions related to health and fitness, don’t hesitate to contact me directly either on Facebook or via email (firstname.lastname@example.org). I am always willing to provide feedback and suggestions on ways that you can get the results that you are after.
And 2 favors that I ask:
1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc. It really helps me get more exposure and grow our team!
2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.yourfitnesspath.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out.
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Keep bringing it and inspiring others to do the same gang!!
