How’ October treating you so far? Are you on track to reach the goals you’ve set for yourself?
This week I was supposed to be starting the final week of the Gamma cycle of Focus T25, but I rolled my ankle late last week and have been trying not to put any unneeded extra stress on it. Luckily I don’t think the injury is serious, but I’d rather not risk further injury to it. With that in mind, I’ll be doing a mix of Body Beast, X2 and T25 – to the extent that lateral movement isn’t required. I want to make sure I’m ready to go when P90X3 is launched in December.
Are you on Facebook? Become a fan!
It’s a bit odd/weird to have a Facebook fan/like page, but it’s a good way to keep my personal Facebook profile separate from my Team Beachbody stuff. So, if you are on Facebook and haven’t yet stopped by the fan/like page, here’s your chance!
Here’s a direct link. Say hi while you are there!
Still Want That Cheat Meal?
I’ll admit it; I have cheat meals here and there. However, I feel like I can afford one here and there since I am not currently in the “weight loss” mode. I am fully aware of the consequences/affects of a cheat meal and I wanted to ensure that you see for yourself some actual examples and how they might be affecting you with your weight loss goals. I am not saying that you can NEVER have a cheat meal; in fact, there may be some cases where a cheat meal can be beneficial to confuse your metabolism and bust through a plateau. But you can’t use that excuse as a means to justify one every weekend or every other weekend. Read on to learn why!
So lets pretend you want to drop 10 pounds of body fat. You want to lose 2 pounds per week for 5 weeks…which is a weekly deficit of 7,000 calories (3,500 for each pound of fat). Be sure to know what a safe calorie deficit is for your own body. You can determine your specific caloric needs here: Are You Getting Enough Calories
In this scenario we will use easy math. Let’s say you burn an average of 2,500 calories per day. Let’s not include any calories burned with exercise or activities to simplify things.
Obviously if you hit the gym/workout it will affect total calories burned…. but again, to keep things simple lets just say 2,500 total calories burned per day.
So what could a diet look like to hit your goal of 2 pounds of fat loss per week?
That is without a cheat day.
Here’s what a lot of people wind up doing by adding a cheat day on Sat (or Sun).
That cheat day wipes out 3 days of pretty tough dieting…and to be honest that is the best-case scenario.
Here’s what I see happening all the time when people want to lose 2 pounds per week.
Note: The 2,500 on Friday is due to a few drinks after work. Saturday is loose and means it is pretty easy to hit 3,500 calories. Then you’ve got to have an official “cheat day”.
Again, use this information as a guide to make smarter decisions and you’ll find that sometimes that cheat meal just simply isn’t worth the cost. Commit to a period of 30-90 days without a cheat meal while going through a Beachbody Fitness program and you’ll be amazed with your results!
XBox Fitness Announced
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been a fan of video games, even way back to the original Nintendo days…Needless to say A LOT has changed since those days and now even fitness has made it’s way onto the video game console. Xbox Fitness will be available with the upcoming release of the new Xbox console. I posted an article detailing what we know about it so far.
Here is the intro to the article:
“A couple of weeks ago Microsoft announced the newest feature that will be available with the upcoming Xbox One console, due out in November 2013; Xbox Fitness. This is pretty exciting and a great way to further engage with those that are new to at home fitness or have never considered giving it a try.”

I’m looking for a few select leaders this month to help us change the world. If you want to do something truly fulfilling while you’re working on your own health & fitness AND earning a nice side income, go here now…
Are you passionate about fitness? Love sharing your knowledge with others?
I am looking for dependable and motivated individuals to join my Beachbody coaching team. Beachbody is a company that creates in-home fitness programs such as P90X, P90X2, Insanity, TurboJam, Hip Hop Abs, TurboFire and more.
Being a coach allows you to work with Beachbody customers, keeping them motivated, answer questions, and offer suggestions for new products and nutritional supplements that will help them achieve their fitness and health goals.
Being a coach is a great way to supplement your income while doing something you love.
Email or click below for more information about becoming a coach.
Let’s help others and pay it forward!
How many of you have/know someone that you think would benefit from being a part of this group? We all probably know SOMEONE that may be struggling with health and fitness.
Who do you know that has high cholesterol, blood pressure issues or blood sugar problems? Do you know someone that needs to lose weight, tone up or gain weight?
If you think you know someone, even if it is just one person, let me know and let’s get them plugged in. A little friendly competition is always beneficial to those involved.
Got a question?
I also wanted to make sure that everyone on my team is aware that I am here for YOU! If you have ANY questions related to health and fitness, don’t hesitate to contact me directly either on Facebook or via email (firstname.lastname@example.org). I am always willing to provide feedback and suggestions on ways that you can get the results that you are after.
And 2 favors that I ask:
1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc. It really helps me get more exposure and grow our team!
2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.yourfitnesspath.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out.
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Keep bringing it and inspiring others to do the same gang!!
