It was a late night last night…but for good reasons. I was fortunate enough to attend the Colts/Broncos NFL game. WOW what an atmosphere! There are only a few occasions where a game that is hyped up as much as this one was and still actually lives up to all of that hype. Before, during and after the game the city was buzzing with excitement and it was incredible to be part of it.
Focus T25 is behind me, but I am still keeping these 25-minute workouts in the mix, they are just about perfect for fitting in a quick workout or adding an extra workout in the AM. The next 8-9 weeks I’ll be doing more of a Beachbody workout “playlist shuffle”. I am planning to incorporate little P90X2, Focus T-25, Asylum 1 & 2 and Body Beast over that time. I love the fact that I can mix and match so many of these fitness programs together and never really get bored with what’s coming next.
5 Tips/Suggestions to Improve Your Life – Today!
I stumbled across a great resource recently that I thought I would share with you here and there throughout the remainder of the year. Hopefully with some of these tips/suggestions, you’ll find some value in them and be able to use them to finish 2013 strong and start the new year like you never have before. Some are fitness related, while others are not – no matter they are too good to keep to myself!
1. Take Action Today
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The next best time is now.” This Chinese Proverb hits the nail on the head. Don’t wait another second to get started on whatever it is you want to accomplish, today is the day to take action.
2. Schedule Your Habits
By scheduling your day, including your habits you will take control of them, rather than letting them control you. If you know what to expect each day, it will be much easier to handle obstacles as they arise.
3. Do You Really Want It?
When you decide you are ready to change, make sure you really want to lose those pounds, or get out of debt, because unless you really want it you will not be able to overcome the pitfalls and obstacles.
4. Schedule Your Day
Write a to-do list each evening before you go to bed. While you’re sleeping your brain will prepare itself for the tasks the next morning and you will be ready to jump right into it first thing.
5. Do Not Participate in Negativity
Every second you spend entertaining the negativity of others or participating in gossip is wasting the precious time you could be using for positive activities. When you feel yourself being sucked into the negative vibes, remove yourself and get back to work on your to-do list.

Ted Talk with Jamie Oliver
I have watched several Ted Talks over the years and generally they are always insightful, intriguing and eye opening. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a chef giving a Ted Talk, but this one from Jamie Oliver was nothing less than spot on. Be sure to check out the video of his recent Ted Talk, you might learn something you didn’t previously know.
