Today I begin a new journey in my personal life. After nearly 10 years being employed by the same company, I will be starting a new job. It’s both excited and uncertain at the same time. Much like anything that you are first getting started with. Embrace the change; many times the change is what is most needed!
Thank you all for the tremendous support over the past two years. I am looking forward to continuing to work you all and helping you all reach your health and fitness goals.
No More Excuses!
Now that the holidays are over and done with, you simply have no excuses to get yourself back on track and you should start today!
Many people obsess with the number they see on the scale. Forget about the number staring back at you! While weight loss is the goal, maintaining a specific weight shouldn’t be! Your current weight and body composition is a direct result of your own choices with eating and exercise. Take a minute to think back over the last 2-3 years of your life. What types of foods did you eat most often? How intensely did you exercise, for how long and how often?
Stand in front of a full-length mirror for a minutes. Are YOU happy with what you see staring back at you? The emphasis is “are YOU happy”, it doesn’t matter what other people might think or tell you. If so, then you have probably been doing something that has been working – great! Keep it going, don’t stop.
If you aren’t satisfied, then it’s time to start making some changes – starting today! Don’t know where to start exactly? You can start today by simply making better choices.
Better choices about what you eat!
This is one area where you in 100% control over and quite honestly it will have the largest impact on your health and fitness. I’m not talking about starving yourself either. A restricted low calorie diet is NOT HEALTHY. They DO NOT WORK in the long run and are simply not sustainable!
Better choices about when you exercise!
This one is harder for some, but used as a crutch for others when they can’t seem to dial in their nutrition. What is the most effective way to make better choices? Get involved with one of the Challenge Groups! We all support each other and go through a fitness program at the same time. We may be on slightly different schedules, but we all are experiencing the same program.
Focus your energy on the choices you make regarding what you eat and how you exercise. If you don’t know where to begin then please reach out to me, I’m here for you.
