If you are looking for the secret to getting incredible results with your fitness program/routine, you’ve come to the right place. In this article I hope to provide you with the insider tips and tricks that I have found and have been using for the past 4 years to get to where I am today. The information that I will offer has lead me to win the Daily and Monthly Beachbody Challenge contest, which awarded me $500 and $1000 respectively. Not to shabby…
Many people get started with a fitness program and get frustrated when they don’t see results right away. I know this, because I was the exact same way. I was giving it everything that I had and I just wasn’t seeing the changes in the mirror like I wanted or expected.
That all changed once I started focusing on a few areas that I will get into a bit later. First let’s discuss some of the more popular tactics out there that are being marketed to you.
The Latest Supplement
I’ll admit, I take supplements. I used to think, you take a supplement and then overnight you have the exact body you have always wanted. The perfect set of 6-pack abs, the tight booty or whatever it is that you would consider to be your perfect body. Now I understand that the supplements that I take don’t do that, but allow me to recover faster, lift bigger, go harder.
There is more to just taking a supplement but doing nothing else and expecting it to have a profound affect on you and your body. However, there are so many gimmicks and marketing money being pumped into the supplement industry and it is easy to get caught up in the hype and the promises that they offer.
Know this, there is no 1 supplement on the market today that is going to give you immediate results. By that I mean, load up your shaker cup, guzzle it and poof; instant fitness model. Sorry folks, it doesn’t work that way!
Along the same lines of supplements but these tend to have a lower price point and thus an even greater attraction to those of you looking for the “quick fix”. I think that there are more “pills” that are marketed to the general public as a means to lose weight or shed body fat than any other supplement combined. Supplements tend to have a more focused market on men, whereas the “pills” that I am referring to market to primarily women, but men aren’t entirely out of the equation.
As is the case with supplements, pills come in a number of varieties all claiming to do something different or in an entirely new way. With “break through” science, or so they would lead you to believe… While I do admit to taking supplements, there are NO PILLS of any kind that I would recommend or suggest to anyone to help you improve or hasten your results.
The phrase “chemical cocktail” is what comes to mind when I see these ads in Facebook or in the sidebar of my inbox. I sometimes click through on these ads just to see exactly what they are “selling”. Generally, it is nothing more a rehashed caffeine formula that will never have lasting results. That is the important note with pills of any kind. You may see a jump or noticeable change right away, but in the long run, they simply don’t have a sustainable means to keep that going and you will likely revert back to your previous state within a 2-3 weeks.
This is my favorite one! I realize that most of Beachbody’s products are sold through infomercials on late night television on those channels that hardly anyone watches, and that is where you will also find some of the fitness gadgets I am referring to as well. The term gadget should immediately trigger an alarm in your brain to be skeptical of its true value and ability to deliver on it’s promises.
Who hasn’t, at one time or another, owned some kind of fitness gadget? Shake weight, ab rocket, the gazelle, etc… Just about any of the products that might have little “As Seen On TV” logo on the packaging applies here.
Granted, a few of these products have some merit, but they are so specific in the nature of the exercises that they offer, you truly can’t utilize any single one of these gadgets and get a full body workout. I, myself, own a couple of specific fitness accessories/gadgets, but I utilize them as an additional component to my fitness programs like P90X2 or Body Beast, they aren’t the sole source of my fitness regimen.

No worries, this is the real insider info that I was referring to above. I can guarantee with almost 100% certainty that if you follow these simple but effective suggestions, you are going to have incredible results. That may mean you need to try and different fitness program to push yourself harder or just simply add some variety in your fitness. Perhaps you have hit a plateau with weight loss, an adjustment in your nutrition is likely necessary. Sometimes even small tweaks in the nutritional department can really have a impact on busting through those plateaus.
