I am probably in the minority here, but I love Monday’s! I can totally appreciate if you think I am crazy or giving you a bunch of BS, but it’s true.
I assume just like you; the weekends are time to relax! You have the opportunity to enjoy the free time with your family, take a weekend trip, spend some time on your personal hobbies or just be simply be lazy and catch up some some sleep or your favorite show. Those are all great ways to spend your weekend and I have done all of the above in the past myself.
However, Monday’s are my opportunity to re-focus on goals (fitness, nutrition or business related), start something new (software project, book, podcast) or measure progress something I’ve been working on for awhile. Of course for me, there are lots of reasons to get excited about Monday’s, but I can understand that for some Monday can have a bit of a negative connotation and you’ll do anything and everything to avoid them.
In those time, you may find that a little motivation is necessary to get yourself going and change your mood on the day/week.
That is the purpose of this post! People are motivated by different things, so I wanted to try and cover several of them below. Hopefully one of them will speak to you and give you some new perspective on the week in front of you.

Videos that provide a motivational message are a really powerful medium. There are several video on YouTube that really get me amped up before a workout or event that I need something extra. Here are just a few of them.
Pro Tip: Watch the video once – the visuals usually enhance the audio. Watch the video a second time, but this time close your eyes and really listen to the words that are being spoken throughout and imagine yourself as the one being spoken to. That really drives home the message in the video.
