Hey Team!
I’m really excited about tomorrow; it will be my first Warrior Dash! Terrible planning on my part since I am about half way through the 2nd phase of the Ultimate Reset… Planning to up my intake a little bit today to ensure I don’t bonk a mile into the race. I’ll be in the 10:30 AM wave of runners. I wanted to try and get an earlier wave to avoid the traditionally high temps here in August. Turns out that won’t be an issue, should be an awesome day!

I am really enjoying trying some of the new foods that are part of the Reset, some of them I plan to continue to work into my weekly meals. I still don’t anticipate converting to an entirely plant based whole foods diet once I have completed, but it is nice to know that there are several ways to incorporate this type of diet into what I’m already are doing today.
One of the lessons that I have learned (albeit sometimes, the hard way…) in going through the Reset, is preparation makes a big difference. Preparation from a physical standpoint as well as a mental one. I was burned on this on a couple of occasions early, but started to look ahead and ensure that I planned accordingly; as some meal prep takes longer than others.
Preparation is a key aspect in several avenues of life, not just health and fitness. If you are not properly prepared for something that you are about to take on, one of two things are going to happen. 1 – You are going stumble your way through the process and have mediocre results or 2 – you are going to fail.
The great John Wooden once said; “Failing to Prepare is Preparing to Fail.”
Such a great quote and it stands true. You need to take the necessary time to prepare yourself and your environment. In doing so, you will give yourself an improved chance at succeeding.
Chocolate Shakeology – New Superfoods Formula
For those of you who receive Shakeology each month, you may have noticed a new formula at your door recently. If you haven’t received the new formula, you will likely soon, so listen up! There has been quite a bit conversation about the new formula and its significant difference in taste and texture. I would encourage all of you to check out the recently published FAQ from Beachbody on the reasons for the change and some tips for adjusting to the taste. Check it out and offer feedback!
