This also marks the end of phase 2 for me. A grueling 6-week strength phase that brought on a ton of new moves from Tony Horton and his P90X2 program. The strength phase of P90X2 brought us some totally new routines; Chest + Back + Balance, V Scuplt and Base + Back, as well some that while had familiar names; Shoulders + Arms and Chest + Shoulder + Tris, these routines were primarily composed of all new exercises!
It is now easy to see why the foundation phase was so focused on lower weights and balance…Most of the moves in these new routines were being performed while balanced on a stability ball or medicine ball. Even the pull-up, which can’t have too many new ways of doing them, was adapted to expose your weaknesses and help you gain strength!
One of the great things that happened over this last phase was all of the different challenges that I was put up to by my fellow P90X2 – X2 Crew members. For nearly six weeks a new challenge for each of the strength and cardio routines was contrived that pushed your body to its physical limits. I have posted the majority of the challenges that were put forth on my YouTube Channel. Check them out and let me know what you think. Give them a try sometime when you are feeling up to the challenge.
Next week starts a MUCH NEEDED recovery week. Which means nothing but Yoga and A LOT of foam rolling. I am really looking forward to this break and so are all of the other members of the X2 Crew. I am so glad to be a part of this amazing group that had kept me so motivated and really pushed me to excel with my P90X2 journey. So….THANK YOU X2 Crew for all of you hard work and effort over the past 60 days, lets finish this bad boy strong and show off our results with infomercial success!
Day 1, 30 and 60 photos.
